GHMC — Massive disaster, if timely action not taken.

"the present condition of the unfinished road, the damaged catch pits and open manholes in huda colony, mehdipatnam will be a massive disaster if rain starts. To resolve the backflow of rainwater into the resident's premises confronting each rainstorm the ghmc recently constructed a new stormwater line in the middle of the road. The contractor set out the new pipeline works by dismantling the live sewerage system exists on either side of the new stormwater line and the resident’s break line directly connected to the nearest new catch pits with perforated covers.

Presently, this new stormwater line is fully operational because the upstream sewerage main line is connected with it and heavy load flows to the full limits of new pipes. Not known such practice is pertinent in metropolitan city or not? The occupants are constrained to live unhygienically with the dirtied condition. No concrete bedding below catch pits is profoundly conceivable the dirty water penetrate the premises and borewells and high risk for cleaning warriors. The residents are suffering very badly in these pandemic times. The foul smell contamination persistently dissipates a considerable threat to the lives of people living in the vicinity. Residents want a permanent solution, and all unfinished works should be completed before the rain starts. Residents experience the saturday rainstorm, and overflow intensity with sewerage via new stormwater line reaches to the nearest premises and enters in some houses".
