On 21/05/2018 I purchased 2 Voltas air conditioners and one smart TV from Girias, No 48, Venkatakrishna Road, R.A.Puram, Chennai 600028. The cost of the Air conditioner was fixed at Rs 26550/- each and the TV at Rs 14400/-. The total cost being Rs 67500/-. I paid Rs 40000/- in cash and Rs 27500/- by card.
On 22/05/2018 I received the air conditioners and the TV. The TV was an old piece and I refused to accept it and returned it. They sent me another TV the same day in the night which was also old. I called up the manager several times to replace with a new TV but no action is being taken by him. He went on to state that all the TVs are similar and old at all Girias outlet. These pieces are the display models which are old and 2017 make. When I demanded the money paid by me back the manager refused to return it instead advised me that he would check with your Bangalore branch if any new TVs are available. After checking with Bangalore store he stated that it is not available there also. I lodged a police complaint on 30/05/2018. The manager then advised me that a new TV would be replaced in about 20 days’ time. They have cheated me by providing me with a used TV after collecting money for a new TV. If I do not get my new TV or the payment back in one week time I will be compelled to file criminal and civil suit in consumer forum against Girias.
