I had purchased Glen 1063 SQ Glass gas hob from Glen in October 2020. My Gas started giving low flame problem and sometimes the burner gets turned off automatically because of the same leading to dangerous condition of gas leakage. I had registered a complaint with Glen and the service person came and suggested changing the Burners of the hub, to which I agreed. Then the service guy demanded service charge. I politely said that my complaint is not resolved and I will pay his service charge after he provides me with the burner.
The service guy came back in the evening with a burner which looked different and when i used that the auto ignition stopped working. I said him to give me the original spare part and i was not ready to accept the incompatible spare part. He offered to open the gas hob and make changes to the ignition cable (to which i denied as I am apprehensive that opening the gas hob might lead to other problems in future).
I said him that all i required, is the original spare part and I am not at all willing to accept an incompatible/duplicate spare part. He started making excuses by saying that the company has discontinued the model etc etc (It is pertinent to say that the product is still available for sale on various websites). After this he again demanded his service charge, to which i said that my problem is not yet resolved, and i shall pay the charge only and only after you bring and give me the original spare part.
It's already a month and there gas been no response, despite me calling the customer care and escalating to senior person of Glen on[protected].
This is completely unprofessional from Glen not to provide original spare parts just within 2 years of purchase. Was this information helpful? |
