Go Air — Flight delay | |
We flew from Port Blair to Delhi via Kolkata on G8 102 on 30th April. The original scheduled flight should have left Port Blair at 11.40am and arrive in Delhi at 4.30pm however we were severely delayed.
The original aircraft should have landed in Kolkata briefly before taking us onwards to Delhi however when we arrived we were advised we had to change planes. Then when we left the aircraft we were advised the next flight would be at 4.30pm, without any further explanation.
We waited in the airport over lunch without any further information and then eventually saw that the flight was due to depart at 6.30pm (4 hours late). E then boarded the plane but didn't depart until 7pm.
The reason we booked the flight with GoAir is because it was convenient in the aircraft being the same. It was extremely frustrating to be told to change planes without any reason and then have a 5 hour delay to our journey. We landed in Delhi very late and without being able to eat any dinner.
We are traveling around India from England but would not wish to use GoAir again if this is how you treat your customers. We would expect some form of compensation and apology for the lack of information and excessive delay.
