GoAir — Booking cancelled without consent, No refund provided, No rescheduling allowed | |
I Booked tickets for a round trip between Bangalore and Mumbai for self and family before pandemic lockdown in the MakeMyTrip portal. Onward journey date was 17 May 2020 and return journey date was on 23 May 2020. Due to lockdown all flights were cancelled and the refund was supposed to be in credit shell as per the Govt. of India and can be used before 31 March 2021. Booking amount was 21715 rupees for both onward [ GoAir ] and return [SpiceJet], but now GoAir tickets are cancelled which is of 11740 rupees without my consent and showing No refund due in the portal. When called to GoAir Customer care, they say refund is not possible, and changing the passengers also not allowed, only rescheduling is allowed with same passengers. since i booked for my family with kids, it is not possible to travel with kids in this pandemic situation. now i should either get full refund or should allow the change in the passengers or should get the amount in credit shell as per govt order.
