This is in reference to my pnr l1nw9l for my flight from mumbai to lucknow on 25th feb with the scheduled departure time as 10:35 am.
I tried to web check-in for this particular flight around 8 am on the same day and it showed me to pay around 1800 inr for doing the web check in as a fees towards airport development. Since i wasn’t sure of why should i pay the amount, i was not able to web check-in. I tried reaching out to the call center, but couldn’t get through somehow.
Now, because of heavy traffic, i reached airport around 9:55 am.
I contacted the ground staff and explained my situation, but your team didn’t try to help me instead they told that since i’m late for check-in by 5 minutes, i wouldn’t be allowed to board the flight. Although the gates close 25 minutes prior to the departure time, i was still having 20 minutes to do the check-in. If i had been able to do the web check-in, this problem wouldn’t have arrived. When enquiring about the additional cost while web check-in, they explained it is airport development cost which is asked everytime the passenger tries to web check-in and it is not asked for offline check-in.
My question to your team is that the facility like web check-in are done for customer convenience and not for their additional inconvenience.
Because of this problem, i had to buy a new ticket and my subsequent bookings which were done post my original flight and i paid an additional amount which i wasn’t supposed to. Refer attachment for your reference. Was this information helpful? |
