Godrej Appliances — compressor and thermostat for godrej refrigerator | |||
I am a 78 old senior citzen- D. Suryuanarayana, 33 BHEL Enclace, Tadbund Secunderabad. Mobile [protected]. When my Godrej Refrigerator was not functioning OK, I rang up Godrej service cente Secunderabd, around 25th July. Technician came after two days, made a perfunctory examination, pocketed Rs 300/- fee & said compressor needs replacement. I agreed for replacement.. Man for replacement came on 3-8-18, nearly 4 days after. He di'nt give bill, although I paid full amount of Rs 5600/-. Compressor worked with high noise and stopped dead after few hours. When I rang up Raju, technician who replaced, he says it is not his duty & suggested that I contact service center . When I contacted them on 4/8, they did not send anybody till 5-8-18. I had to leave for USA on 5-8-18, but my housekeeper was available. A technician came around 8-8-18, and did some work and compressor started working without control, continuously. When my housekeeper again contacted him, he came and said thermostat needs replacent. He refused to replace thermostat unless she paid Rs 1960 down payment. She did not have such large sum. Refrigerator was was working 24x7, witout control till I reached India on 3-10-18. I made frantic calls, but the technician came on 7-10-18 and replaced the thermostat. On 7-10-18 only I got receipts for Compressor ( backdated) and thermostat. He charged me Rs[protected]+ service charge).Three main issues that stand-out are- 1. An incompetent man comes and makes perfunctory exam for 5 minutes. He is more interested in pocketing service charge than making a thorough exam. If he had told me Compressor and thermostat need replacement and it would cost me Rs 7500/- I would have opted fot a new refregerator. 2. After noticing compressor is working without control& not replacing thermostat, shows that the service center and its sub-contactors, dont care a hoot what happens to customer's equipment. They are more interested in money. I retired as a General Manager in BHEL till 1999. Our motto was service first. 3. Godrej need to critically examine the criminal behaviour of their subcontractors and their service staff. These people do not attend compaints thoroghly and quickly.Their paperwork is shoddy. Their behaviour is attraciuos I have receipts for all the work done so far and I am sending scans. Was this information helpful? | |||
