Annual Maintenance Contract ‘Win- Win- Offer’: Godrej Appliances Support Division Mumbai
1. I purchased Godrej eon Refrigerator 330 Ltrs GFE 35 TZ, Serial No. [protected] on 04 Feb 2011 from a Godrej dealer at Noida.
2. I paid Rs. 3100.00 on 28 Jan 2012 towards Annual Maintenance Contract ‘Win- Win- Offer’ for next four years vide United Home Care, E-23A, Sector 8, Noida, Bill No. 2140 dated 28 Jan 2012.
Issue 1 : Non-receipt of confirmation - Annual Maintenance Contract validity for four years
3. I observed that the above bill did not mention the stipulated period of four years therein. I requested Godrej Appliances Support Services to please check the records and confirm that the annual maintenance contract would
be valid for four years with effect from 28 Jan 2012.
4. On 19 Apr 2014, I sent to Godrej, United Home Care, E-23A, Sector 8, Noida, Bill No. 2140 dated 28 Jan 2012 for Rs. 3100. I followed it up on 23 May 2014 and reminded them.
5. I received a communication on 23 May 2014 from Subia Momin, Godrej Appliances Service Team, Mumbai, that my request (13336) had been forwarded to the concerned team and that the issue will be addressed soon.
6. I did not receive any response from Godrej Appliances Support Services Mumbai to date.
7. I have again reminded Godrej Appliances Service Team, Mumbai through e-mail on 01 Dec 2014.
Issue 2 : Unparliamentary and Uncivilized behavior of Godrej Customer Care Representative
8. On 08 Jul 2014, I was rung up by Mr. Abdul (Tele:[protected] from Godrej New Delhi office. I furnished details of the payment made by me for AMC, which he asked for. He enquired as to why the cheque for Rs. 3100 was paid to United Home Care (the previous service provider) and not to Godrej. I appraised him that I did what Godrej nominated service provider advised me to do, to which he responded that it was my foolish mistake. I was aghast and surprised. I preferred to discontinue further telephonic conversation. I communicated this episode to Godrej office on 31 Jul 2014 mentioning that I would prefer to have comments from a senior executive from Godrej Appliances Support Mumbai as regards the deplorable behavior by their customer care representative. And that the contents of my mail may please be brought to the notice of Chief Executive Godrej Appliances Support, Mumbai.
9. Once again I did not receive any response from Godrej Appliances Support Services Mumbai to date. However, I have again reminded Godrej Appliances Service Team, Mumbai through e-mail on 01 Dec 2014.
10. The above incidents amply demonstrate the pathetic and unsatisfactory response of Godrej towards its customers, which is indeed sad and disheartening.
