Godrej Interio — Supply o[censored]nused Old Ace Full Back Carbon Black Chair with Headrest instead of a New One.

Complaint for New Ace Full Back Chair with black headrest :

I, (Customer Code/Name : WWC000011, Sales Invoice No: 100031I12252554 Dated 25/07/2022), had purchased a New Ace Full Back Chair with black headrest on 23/07/2022 from Godrej Interio, Borivali. Till date it had already been repaired three times, but still it is defective.

Even when I had not shared the “SMS” sent by company, with technician who visited, and I had signed the work completion paper with comment that work has not been completed, I received a SMS that my complaint has been resolved.

The last person, technician Mr. Ilyas Shaikh who visited on 23rd September, had taken/recorded audio-visuals of the squawking sound and other defects on his mobile and told me that he will forward it to his higher-ups and they will take the decision whether to replace the chair, but even after laps of a fortnight I heard nothing from the company. I called him back on 7th October and he told me that he will again talk to his higher-ups and inform me, but in vain. Then after a few days I lodged a complaint again on 10/10/2022, which was received by a lady at 03:45 PM, but nothing happened. I didn’t even receive a complaint number.

1) Head Rest is loose even after hammering and screwing by your technician who hadn’t even heard the name of “ACE” chair. The screw is coming out with the metal part in which it is tightened. He hammered it in as if repairing an old chair and the screw head looks torn and worn.

2) Back rest mesh is loose, as if it has been used for years.

3) Hand rest and seat squawks so loudly, like old unused doors, while shifting body that everybody in the house come to know about it.

4) Height adjustment leaver is fitted wrongly.

5) Metal base of the chair has dent/cut marks.

6) The following warranty sticker explains that ( which has tick mark on “1” and “8-9”) the chair was assembled in 8th or 9th month of Year 2001 and sold in 2022?

7) I am not able to understand that as per website “Delivery Condition is Knock Down” then why chairs had come assembled and not in knock down condition and assembled at my place.

My observation is that the chair was assembled and not used for a very long time.
