[Resolved] Godrej Properties — refund of booking advance amount | |||
I was on the lookout for a 2/3 bhk flat in and around pune city and learnt About the availability of a 2 bhk flat in your godrej horizon scheme and Had been to the site on 29/10/17 along with family and met mr. Karan [agent Of m/s godrej properties]. He informed us about the godrej prana scheme at Undri and so we went to the godrej prana site office where we were Introduced to mr. Rohit dhingra. After explaining the details of the Scheme, mr. Rohit told about me the proposed meeting on 18/11/17 with Potential privileged customers. He requested us to join the scheme by Paying a refundable amount of rs. 1.00 lakh which i did by swiping my icici Bank credit card. I attended the meeting on 18/11/17 at corianthan club along with my wife And was introduced to mr. Jayesh suryawanshi [representative of godrej Prana scheme] by mr. Karan. Since i had already contacted a few developers Earlier, i contacted one of them and received positive response from them During the aforesaid meeting. I, therefore, immediately told both mr. Karan And mr. Jayesh suryawanshi about my desire to quit the scheme and that my Advance amount of rs. 1.00 lakh be returned. However, both of them insisted on the 'once in a lifetime' opportunity and requested me to book the flat by giving a post dated cheque [amounting to rs. 2, 23, 565/- dated 10/12/17] and that the entire amount will be refunded should i wish to cancel the booking before 10/12/17. I was asked to sign certain forms rather hurriedly as formality. Accordingly, i informed them through my mail dated 02/12/17 about my decision to cancel the booking and requested to return the post dated cheque and also refund the rs. 1.00 lakh advance. *at no time during the entire discussion was i informed about any 'company policy' of forfeiting the said deposit if the booking is cancelled.
