HappyEasyGo — hidden refund terms and conditions creating misattribution | |||||
I booked a flight (PNR S8TB3L) from Ranchi (IXR) to Indore (IDR) which was a one-stop trip with a layover at Kolkata (CCU) (as no direct flights are available from IXR to IDR). Due to some extreme medical emergency, I wanted to cancel the flight. I booked the flight for Rs.8, 247 and the cancellation fee was Rs.8, 147 and I would just get a refund of Rs.100. The customer care person said that it is mentioned in the terms and conditions that the total cancellation fee is Rs.1, 500 (website cancellation fee) + Rs.3, 000 (airline cancellation fee PER SECTOR) + Taxes. Here PER SECTOR is a huge catch which is not understood by a layman and never mentioned explicitly on the website while booking. Though, it was boldly written as REFUNDABLE while I was booking the flight. I called directly the airline and they said that their cancellation fee is Rs.3, 000 (with no hidden charges) for the whole trip and not per sector. The Happyeasygo is charging unexplainable extra charges beyond the normal norms of cancellation and taking advantage of the customer's trust. Was this information helpful? | |||||

Very ridiculous behavior by happyeasygo customer care. Booked a flight from Mumbai to bagdogra -mo ey deducted & payment processed-but no ticket confirmation. Have called 7 times & Everytime they say ticket will be issued within 30mins. What is the next step of complaint? I want to go legal
