Hathway Cable & Datacom — Installation fee issue | |||||
Hi, We recently shifted from one place to another where we already lived before. We approached that respective areas local Hathaway cable operator. He took 500rs for installation charges and didn't provide us any receipt. And told us he would provide us with the yearly card. And gave us the direct cable connection without setup box. And even after a month setup box wasn't installed. And when we called, he said it's blocked due to payment due at the previous cable operator. When we contacted the previous cable operator, there's no due and neither this issue was solved. We called the current cable operator, and he was rude saying "it's blocked, can't be done, you only get it done with the previous operator". He returned the set up box after 2 months and the condition of the setup box wasn't good with someone else's name n number written with marker. We asked about our installation fee back as it was not installed. He said it's not refundable at all. And we asked without even installing how can he take installation fee?. He started argument with my husband and taking it very personal saying "I never give any receipt in my life, if you want you come to my office we will see " behaving like a goonda.
