[Resolved] HDFC Bank — closing of savings account

My name is selvarajan singaram from tamil nadu. My savings account number is [protected]. I went to the cuddalore branch on[protected] for closing my account. I am a senior citizen and currently with my financial situation, i don't need that account. Hence the decision for closing. I have given all information needed from my side but its been almost four months and no step has been taken. We have called the customer care so many times and enquired but no response. Please take the necessary action so that my account is closed and i get back my savings money. Cannot wait anymore.

HDFC Bank Customer Care's response Dear Customer,

We understand that our branch official has already returned the application to you. We are unable to process account closure request as there is credit card linked to your account. Please mail us at [protected]@hdfcbank.com in order to know the credit de-linking process post which you may submit a fresh application for closure of an account.
