[Resolved] HDFC Bank — complaint against unethical charges on the name of autopay return fee. | |||
My name is ankur sharma, holding a credit card ending 6199. I paid my dues on time through netbanking but still you deducted 450+81 (Gst) as payment return charges. I am not ready to pay such unethical charges. So, resolve this issue. Why should i pay the return fee as i already cleared the payment in my card. This is unfair and not acceptable. Verified Support Jan 18, 2020 HDFC Bank Customer Care's response Dear Customer, We wish to inform you that we had attempted to claim the amount basis your instruction given from your savings account and the same was returned due to insufficient funds. As you may be aware, any payment returned would attract a payment return charge. In view of the same, the autopay return fee has been levied. We request you to maintain sufficient balance in your bank account henceforth to enable us to carry out your instruction effectively and to avoid levy of autopay return charges on your card account.
