This is Murugan from Coimbatore.
I have been using HDFC Master credit cards for nearly 1.5 years now. I have always paid my dues on date atleast minimum due amount properly. Last month I used my credit card to book Bus ticket. I was not aware that my available credit limit is almost nil. I thought i still had credit limit to be used. I didn't get any notification or alert from HDFC while paying or at anytime. Now suddenly they have charged amount of Rs.500+60+2 as "Overlimit Fee". My questions are
1) How do you let me pay the bills when my available credit limit exceeds?
2) Why didn't you give any alerts or notifications regarding overlimit during usage of card?
3) When enquired regarding the same to HDFC customer support, i am not getting correct response. They say they wont provide any such alerts to any cutomers. Is this the way you answer and treat you customer? Is this how you provide customer support?
It seems like HDFC don’t value their customers.
Worst approach….
Whatever that now I have paid my lastmonth minimum due amount with this excess amount today. My due date is 8th November. So pls waive off my overlimit fee and pls inform me when i reached my limit.
