[Resolved]  HDFC Bank — Undisclosed charges deduction from saving account for isaqmc-st-ec particulars

Since last 3 months (Infact last 12 months), i had a query about one of deduction categories from my saving bank account statement. When i checked my account statement from jan-2014, i found quarterly deduction of rs.286 under “isaqmc-st-ec” category since sep-2015.

I have spoken to bank authority (Personal banker) and they told us that this charges is a service charges from mutual fund. Furthermore, i inquired with hdfc mutual fund division and they said "please be informed that the charges levied every quarter pertains to bank. You have to ask specifically with bank what these charges are."

When i purchased hdfc mutual funds from other sources, i neither filled up any isa form by going to branch nor requested online account opening. And even i started investing in hdfc mutual funds since march-2015.

I also contacted maninagar branch manager - mr. Mikin patel over e-mail. But it seems with problem understanding gap, he replied me the general information (Available on website) along with isa closure form.

I also followed up thrice but there is no reply from him. It feels ignorance or immature handling of case.

However, i tried to launch complain with service request for mutual fund category over hdfc bank website, but being it incompatible i was not able to generate service request. This resulted in no complain lodging on hdfc bank portal.

I also checked other complaints regarding same subject. There are lot many case filed against hdfc bank since 2011 or even more. This is very general issue and many customers are affected due to this charges who did not obtained to avail for such services.

This needs strong disciplinary action against bank process errors or lack of information with bank representatives - phone bankers or such ignorant responsible shoulders like bank manager.

I hope you have received my e-mail with necessary details on 13-May-2017. Pls find auto generate email response number for your reference >> 'HBL=[protected]'.

Also Reference number generated from Grievance Cell is "HBL=[protected]". I hope such tracking numbers will help you to get rid of this issue as soon as possible as it has been prolong since more than 2 months.

I was travelling and my credit card minimum payment of mere 6k failed. There department started harassing me by calling endlessly. They also called at my permanent address and threatened my father. This is heights of misconduct by HDFC. If given a chance, I will sue the bank.
