[Resolved] HDFC Bank — Harassment and threats | |||
Dear Sir/ Madam, My name is Samikshan Majumdar. I have a savings bank account (A/c no.:[protected]) with HDFC. Few months back I bought some products online with my HDFC Credit card. I have been paying my bills on a reg basis, except for the month of May since I have a few queries related to the charges levied by bank. Representatives call me on a regular basis and ask me to make the necessary payment. I inform them each and every time that I would love to make the payments, but I have a few queries since I have few doubts about the amount that I am supposed to pay. Non of the representatives have ever answered any of my questions. As soon as I ask them anything, either they reply with something that's totally unhelpful or they transfer my call to some other department and this keeps happening over and over again. Without informing me and without my consent they managed to deduct a hefty amount from.my account, but which they again credited back to my account. But how did they deduct the amount on the first place? That too without providing me with any information (account statement attached). Yesterday I received innumerable calls from a HDFC bank representative named Vivek ( contact no. [protected]). He said he was an employee of HDFC. He kept calling me and was trying to scare me by threatening to come to my house, bash me up and collect payment. I informed him that there's some issue which I need to straighten out about the charges levied and that I would make the payment soon. But he kept threatening me using awful language filled with abuses. I asked him to speak in a professional manner if he wanted to continue with the interaction. He kept abusing and threatening. Then I informed him that if he kept threatening me, then I might have to report it with the police, to which he answered with confidence that HDFC has connections and good relations with the police.
