I used to have a salary account with HDFC when I picked up my first job in Mumbai. Once I quit that job my salary account was automatically converted into a regular account. I was not informed when this was done.As a result the benefits that come with a salary account ceased and new taxes/fees began to be levied. In the meantime I stopped using the account eventhough I did not close it. So, there was no money deposited. Some years later when I depsoited Rupees 50,000 in that account, the bank in one go deducted Rs 4000 from my account without any kind of intimation. All these months I had been also recieving an e-mail bank statement which never reflected that any tax/cess was due to be paid.
My complaint is against this incident where a sum of Rs 4000 was deducted from my account. At no stage was I informed about it. Even at the stage of applying for a new account I was not told that the benefits of a salary account will cease once I stop getting my salary. Now, I want the money to be refunded so I can close my account.

this is bank policy from starting if salary is not credited for continous 3 months the account will be converted to regualr saving and u have to maintain maintain monthly balance of rs-5000, u can request to bank for revrsing the same amount as u are not aware of the rules and in future u will maintain the same mail id: [protected]@hdfcbank.com, or there is no tax or viceversa these are the service charges, if still not resolved u can approch second level of grievance

    i wanted to withdraw an amount ,of ATM card of (corporation bank) ,card barring no.[protected] of account of corporation bank(mahalakshmi layout) at hdfc atm (nandini layout), firstly i checked the balance it was 1937.36/-, i entered an amount of Rs 1000/-, i fullfilled the required proccess,the amount did not come out , but the amount was deducted in the balance, and showed the balance of Rs 902.36/-, as it is sunday, i am going to lodge a complaint on monday at 10.00 am. The above incidence took place at 11:20 am, sunday

      I have been receiving several calls from HDFC bank regarding credit cards, personal loans though I have registered for do not disturb 6 months back. From last month they have started calling several times. I have told them several times that i dont intend to take any of their products but they dont understand. Especially in the weekends, i get calls from 7 to 10 times a day. Below are the few numbers that i have

      You can register your number in NDNC registry by calling or sending SMS to toll-free 1909 saying ‘START DND’. The registration will become effective within 45 days from the date of registration.Even after 45 days if you receive have a written complaint with your service provider and inform them them sample numbers & await their response.If possible also mail to customer care of respective banks & wait their response for a week If you still receive pestering calls reach out to consumer forum with required proofs (received call list data, your sms sent to NDNC and complaint of mail to your respective service provider and respective banks)you will be duly compensated for the harassement.

          It's very upsetting that no response from HDFC Standard Life regarding my PF amount.
          I have worked from Oct 2006 till Sept 2010 and submitted my PF docs in the mon of Apr 2011.
          But no response from HDFC Standard Life , I call on the HDFC Standard Life PF Queries no.and spoken to Mr.Laxman explaining the issue but no solution provided.

          My HDFC PF No.-8978.
          Working period was - Oct 2006 to Sept 2010.

          HDFC Standard Life Insurance Co. — hiding payment info.

          Dear Sir/Madam,

          This is regarding my HDFC Standard life Insurance policy, as the premium of Rs. 20,000.00 has been Auto debited on 30th Nov. 2009 from My HDFC platinum credit card, but they are denying any info of payment where as credit card company has debited me for same amount and i have been paying interest of Rs.20,000.

          We have even contacted, Credit card company twice thrice and they have shown up their electric transfer of R.s 20,000.00 but HDFC SLIC is denying for nay payment received.

          Could you please look into this since almost one year will be over after 2~3 months.

            I regsitered PolicyBazar.com in January regarding my Health Insurance and I got Insurance from that site. But after that there are regular calls regarding health insurance / life insurance etc. are coming. I warned them several times but they are keep calling me like 2-3 times every week.                 I have a saving account with HDFC bank . Account no [protected].

                I have 1 lac Fix deposit on the same account. when i confirm to exit the amount expected amount tell to me by your executive is 1,11,986 Rs . after my request the amount which i received is 1,09,876Rs.........which is having the difference of Rs 2110. this is very huge amount .

                Moreover I want to clear two point here:-

                1). When i given the request of tenure of 1 yrs 15 day FD then why tenure extended to 2 year...

                2). First your executive say there is 1% penalty in prematurity FD amount as i aware that after 1st April 2012 there is no premature penalty on FD as per RBI guide lines than why it has been deducted from my expected maturity amount.

                  A.
                  I got a call from HDFC bank representative (called Amruta, mob number [protected] and [protected]) in pune about the platinum plus card offer. I told them that i wanted VISA card and not mastercard to which she said yes.
                  Also she told me many offers like Lifetime free card, buy 1 get 1 ticket offer from bookmyshow, ticketplease which were actually not applicable to the card. I fell prey to these lies and expressed my desire to apply.
                  In the Application form also I have specifically mentioned VISA and i applied for both the primary and addon card.

                  I called Amruta and told her my desire to cancel the application as the said offers were not applicable on the card. But she wrongly told me that I would be getting all those offers on my card, a blatant lie!

                  Now after all this, i got 2 confirmation calls. I have categorically told them to offer me VISA to which they said yes.

                  Now when I actually got 2 cards, the surprising thing is both of them were mastercards. Also the offers which Amruta told me were not applicable on that card.

                  By seeing this, I immediately called the call center number[protected] and told them to change my franchiser to VISA. They told me that my request would be processed. But after 2 weeks also, when i called them up to check the status of my request, they said I had to apply for that!!!

                  C.
                  This was something that really irritated me and I chose to cancel the card. Again they blocked my card temporarily saying i needed to write a cancellation letter to them. And the following week they have imposed annual fee in my first Lifetime free credit card statement!!!

                  All these A, B, C things leave me with a conclusion that HDFC Bank employs full time liars who do wrong practices in their marketing of a card. This is very serious issue. I have finally written a letter to them notifying about the cancellation of my credit card.

                    Today I have received a call posing as a IRDA representative and informing me that I have received the bonus amount and they want to release the same. The phone call was made from mobile No.[protected]. They are claiming that I have received the bonus on my policy of HDFC which was taken 1-2 year back. I have refused to give the personal details.

                    How such call can be made by the persons ? How these people get the details of our policy ?

                    Please take up the matter and inform all concern whether these calls are genuine or fake.

                        I am repeatedly getting annoying marketing calls ( for credit cards) from HDFC bank despite being registered for ' Do not Disturb' with Airtel. I have calle up the customer service number of Airtel and lodged formal complaints several times but there is no respite from such annoying calls from HDFC. Everytime a register a complaint, i get a complaint number and a TAT of 4 days. After 4 days, i usually get an SMS from Airtel informing me that a ' show cause notice' has been served to HDFC bank. There are no calls for a period of 15 to 20 days and then they start again. Please do something about it.

                        Unsolicited calls on my mobile from HDFC offering credit card & personal loans eventhough I have registered for Do Not Call with Airtel.
                        Calls originate from numbers [protected] & [protected]

                        I had registered for NDNC. on 11/09/2007. The reference number for Registration is S[protected]

                        After complaining to Airtel, they registered my complaint & got back saying it is a problem with the caller????

                        The agents of HDFC bank have been calling me every day offering credit card, personal loans etc. and do not seem to have any way of ensuring that they do not repeat the calls despite telling them that I do not need their services and advising them not to call any further. The numbers from whcih they have been calling are [protected], [protected], [protected].

                        Request your help in tracing these numbers and taking penal action against the respective organisations so that they do not resort to such obnoxious marketing tactics.

                            I have taken house loan from HDFC and want my incometax certificate..on 3.9.12 I firstly approached to defence colony branch where they refuse to listen me and send me to green park branch....I went to the branch but they also not able to help me and send me to their another branch near green park ...I have taken a token No PA080 at 01:08 PM after waiting more than 20 min I went to counter no 01...wherer the employee was not able to handle my problem correctly and she told me to go Munirka branch for SOA...I asked her for the address of said branch but she refuse to help me...my 4 hrs has been spend of no use ...still I have no SOA...if these are the services by HDFC....I am sorry to say about consumer guidance and care is at very low level.....

                              This was very well planned & executed trap by a grup o[censored]nscruplous sales

                              staff trying to increase their sales figures & their commission at the

                              expense o[censored]nsuspecting customers.
                              I recd a call from the HDFC call

                              centre in Delhi from Someone claiming to be Dr DK Sharma & trying to

                              convince me that he was in a top position in HDFC SLIC & had special powers

                              to give special benefits & that he was promoting a policy as it was some

                              tenth anniversary of the Hyderabad branch of HDFC SLIC.
                              According to which

                              after payment of Rs 60,000/- annually for the next seven years I would be

                              given a complimentary family medical insurance for my family which would be

                              valid until my age of seventy years. Similarly a policy for my mother

                              comprising of Rs 60,000/- for seven years would fetch a medical insurance

                              valid till her age of 70 years. There was also some additional bonus

                              attached & reduction in payment. The offered policy sounded very nice & had

                              only benefits. There was no reason to doubt as I was being guided by HDFC

                              SLIC which I had always trusted.

                              But the trap was well laid. I was told that some Ms Shweta would call &

                              explain the terms of the policy & I should not disclose the additional

                              benefits that were given. I was told that she would ask me if I was given

                              any additional benefits & I must answer in the negative. This I was

                              supposed to do bcoz I was made to believe that the call centre personnel

                              are friendly with field sales staff who are not given these powers of

                              offering additional benefits. If the field staff come to know about the

                              additional beneftits then I would stand to lose my benefits. A few minutes

                              after these instructions just as I was told Ms Shweta called rom the HDFC

                              SLIC call centre.I was foolish enough to fall into the trap. My voice was

                              recorded while accepting the normal poliy features. I have five policies of

                              HDFC SLIC, but never before did I receive a call from the call



                              centre

                              asking whether I had been offered any additional benefits. I had foolishly

                              said that I had not recd any additional benefits.
                              I have been conned by a group of people working for HDFC itself. After

                              waiting for over two months for the medical insurance & nothing arrived, I

                              decided to complain to HDFC SLIC. I only rcd a letter from the complaint

                              redressal that I have bought the policy after being informed the features &

                              the free look period has expired, hence my policy cannot be refunded. They

                              told me that my voice has been recorded accepting the normal features. I

                              had given details of all people involved in the racket, but no action was

                              taken.



                              I cannot believe that I have been conned by my most trusted

                              organisation, HDFC as whole & HDFC SLIC.
                              I have been a customer of HDFC for the last 12 years using their

                              services for all my financial, banking & insurance needs. I never suspected

                              that an oragnisation that I held in such high regard would cheat me & trap

                              me into investing in such policies which I am really interested in. I feel

                              it is a scam in which people from HDFC are aware (if not involved) right to

                              the topmost level. Such wrong practices do not go a long way in building

                              consumer faith. I want to warn HDFC that if my money is not refunded I will

                              put up my complaint on every website available so that people know what

                              sort of cheats they are dealing with. I also want to inform HDFC SLIC that

                              I will take recourse to every option available to get back my money &

                              inform all my NRI brethren of the dangers associated with dealing with HDFC

                              & that their hard earned money is no longer safe with such con companies

                              around. If my case is not sorted out I will end all my association with

                              HDFC bank & HDFC SLIC & HDFC loans. I will surrender all my policies,

                              transfer my loans & shut down my account, no matter what the financial

                              losses to me.

                                  This to bring to every one's notice that I have been cheated by HDFC credit card department. The events have been recited below in a chronological sequence:
                                  My Name: T S Sharat
                                  Credit Card no:. 5243 XXXX XXXX 3521
                                  Facts:
                                  1. June 12the, 2012: My credit card bill is generated and thee statement in sent to me via. email.
                                  2. Unfortunately, I missed (first time in 2 years) thee due date (1st July, 2012) for paying thee minimum amount due.
                                  3. July 13the: I bought Samsung S III phone from "The Mobile Store" for RS. 38,999 under a 6 monthe "interest free" EMI scheme using HDFC Credit card. The transaction was successful and I even got a call from thee HDFC credit card department confirming thee transaction.
                                  4. July 16the: I received a call from HDFC credit card department. The telecaller informed me theat my credit card has been locked and thee transaction processed on July 13the will not be honoured. The merchant (mobile store) will not receive thee money when theey would claim it. I need to make a payment of thee minimum amount due as on 16the July. The caller also informed me theat thee credit card had been locked on 13the and will be unlocked once I make thee payment. The caller also informed me theat thee amount of Rs. 38,999 was reflected in my current outstanding balance and will be converted to 6 monthes -EMI's as per thee scheme once I make thee payment of minimum balance due.
                                  5. July 16the: I made a payment of thee minimum amount due as per thee statement to save myself thee embarrassment of a dishonoured transaction and also to avail thee 6 monthe EMI scheme as I could never afford thee phone otheerwise.
                                  6. Aug 12the: I received thee bill for thee monthe of July which reflected Rs. 38,999 as a one time transaction and I did not get any EMI based scheme at all as promised by thee telecaller.
                                  7. Aug 25the: I called up thee customer care department of HDFC and informed theem of thee discrepancy. They registered thee grievance and promised to get back withe a solution withein 3-4 days. They never got back.
                                  8. Aug 31st: I called up thee customer care department of HDFC again and requested for an update. They told me to wait for 2-3 days during which time, theey will get back withe an update.
                                  9. Sep 3rd: I have not received any update or call regarding thee status of thee complaint/grievance.

                                  My statement and credit card account reflects thee complete amount of Rs. 38,999 and I feel cheated by HDFC bank. I have no clue how would I be able to pay thee interests based on thee current outstanding bill; and I would have never bought thee phone had I known of thee intentions of thee Bank.
                                  The merchant had claimed thee amount and got thee same from HDFC.

                                  Please help me.

The HDFC person called me and told ' we give one offer to you, that is if you take the healthcare policy through your credit card we will give two policies with out any cost.                                         I took HDFC credit card in Oct 2011, based on the same card they offered my HDFC Ergo Health policy. total premium cost was Rs. 4977. I look that policy because they said, this policy also provided Ayureveda, Unani and Homeopathy treatment as well and claims till Rs 20,000. In the first week of feb 2012 I went for a homeopathy treatment which costed to me Rs 8500 and then asked to HDFC for claim. First they request to submit all the documents which I did on the same day and posted to all required documents. and then after a week time started following for the claim. for first two weeks they said we are working on your request. then there wasn't any proper update on my request, I escalated to Sr. Department, they replied with for any treatment you need to be hospitalization. I told them Homeopathy clinics doesn't admit their patients but they wasn't ready to accept the truth. Now,I got it there are not going to approve me claim amount.. all this was just nothing they just made fool of my.

                                        Now I decided to cancellation of policy and asked for full refund in-case they don't provide me the claim as I never used that policy for any other claim. They approved my claim but returned me the balance amount (April-Oct 2012) only which was half of premium I paid.

                                        I called then they said you will get half amount after two months. I waited assuming it might be there policy.

                                        On Aug 9th I received a msg from HDFC " We are in the receipt of your request for cancellation of your policy reference number 50934352. Our executive will contact you within 72 hours."

                                        but there wasn't any call or further information but I called myself @ ERGO customer care. then they said we don't make comments like this. we have already dome your full n final and nothing left to pay you back.


                                        Now I am here to take your help to get my money back, I request to your either please provide me full claim other wise my paid premium amount.


                                        Policy cost was Rs. 4977
                                        They refunded me: Rs 2284

                                        looking for either claim amount Rs 8500 or balanced policy amount Rs: 2693.
