[Resolved] HDFC Bank — not changing my address in my account | |||
Hey, i am an nre customer with hdfc bank for the past 5 years now. I am fed up with the slow customer service here. Since the day i’ve landed in india, i’m unable to use my debit card. No transaction is going through, neither is my card working in the atm, nor can i transfer any funds. I’m helpless I’ve applied for an address change, so that i can receive a new debit card, where i currently stay in mumbai. But this process is also taking ages. I’ve submitted all the documents that were asked at the hdfc branch in thakur village, near thakur college, mumbai Today is the 12th day, let alone my debit card, the address has still not been updated in the records. Once the address is updated from your end, only then can i apply for a debit card, i seriously don’t understand why is this process taking so long. Such kind of slackness is causing me a lot of problems, as i can neither use my funds nor do i have any money. I write, to express my grief, that’s because of this snail like process i’m suffering. Today is the 12th day, since i’ve come to india and submitted the documents and there is no update from your side. Everyday, i check my net banking for the address change update, but unfortunately it never gets changed. I literally have no money on my hands right now, and today i really regret relying solely on hdfc bank After all this, i applied for an instant debit card for which i will be again charged. Because i don't have nay money on me.. If the address change would have been done well in time, i would have applied for the debit card and would have got it well within time. I thi k this is the trick that hdfc bank is playing to fleece their customers into getting money from them.. Such pathetic services is totally unacceptable from a bank like hdfc bank.
