HDFC Bank — unauthorized funds held from my salary account | |
Hi Rs 65000 have been held from my salary account upon contacting customer service i was informed that its some credit card payment overdue which is wrong since i havent used the hdfc credit card in over 3 years and to my knowledge it was closed long ago. Also, the credit limit of that card was somwhere around 25k, so how can i owe 65k? If its some added interest and everything then its completely wrong since i had no idea this was happening... The customer service said that they cannot help me with this and that they have arranged a call back.. Its been 5 days now no call has come... I called again and they gave me a no '[protected]' which doesnt go through... I have written mails but no reply... Nobody is helping me out... I need sumone to talk to about this grave communication gap since almost my entire salary has been held... The bank should understand that the person needs to take care of living expenses too... I need to pay my rent and other living expenses... Its just the start of the month... I spoke to one of the bank manager and explained all this to him and requested that i can make a payment of 10k now but please remove the hold on funds and i can pay the remaining once i have access to funds but again he said chennai head office has put a hold only they can remove it... But there is nothing i could find on how to get in touch with them.. Please understand that this was just a whole miscommunication since i never received any statements even for any outstanding amount let alone 65000. Apart from above i have been trying to get in touch with hdfc bank over calls and mails and even grievance redressal and though the policy is to get back to me in 2 days... Its been over 3 days i havent heard from hdfc. Also, i have raised the same complaint here couple of days ago and the hdfc replied to fill up a link where a reference number was required and i was not provided with one... It was protected in the comment and i replied so many times on that to provide me with the reference no but no one got back to me...
