Hi, i had horrible experience with my new maestro edge, earlier i had honda
activa, 10 years used no issue, i feel cheated. Details given below-
I purchased a maestro edge on march 08, 2017 from hero hi-peed bike, maligaon petrol pump, guwahati-11, assam, reg. No. Is as01-dg-0368. After 3-4 days battery was fully drained. Not any light in scooty speedometer.. No kick start or self start, somehow took to authorized hero service center, after 6/7 hour they have retuned to me and told problem has been solved but after some days again problem starts, self-start gone down, maximum time i had to start by kick-start, complained several times to service center people but they replied “it will be alright you ride every day”, this kind of stupid & logic less reply i got from them, like this i have completed one year but things became worse & horrible on 25/07/18 when the start goes off and i was unable to start by self or by kick, i informed the authorized hero service center, after 4/5 hour mechanic came and told me that “battery have gone down and i need to go to the exide
office and they will replace it” but exide
people told me that they cannot replace as only hero service center can do it (Mind that exide
office was appx 21 km away from my location) when i informed the same than the service center people agreed to replace the battery. This kind of harassment i received throughout the day from authorized hero service center. Next day around 11 am after replacing with a new battery they delivered me the vehicle, but in the evening on the way to home again the start goes off in the middle of the road, self & kick not working. When i informed the service center they replied me you repair it from any garage and give complain to hero head office and at present nothing we can do, this kind of stupid and unprofessional reply i got from authorized hero service center. After that i had to push 12 km to reach my home under heavy rain & thunderstorm.
Note: last service i have done on 13/06/18 at the authorized hero service center & after that condition became extremely worse, god knows what they have done.
Now it has been proved that its not a battery problem since new battery was installed, i think i have received totally damaged & defective product that you have sold to me, please take necessary steps else i will go to the consumer court, press, social media, etc. I feel cheated.
