[Resolved] Hitachi Home & Life Solutions India [Hhli] — Poor quality AC
I bought this hitachi window air conditioner, Model- HItachi 1.5Ton 3 star Copper Kaze Plus RAW318HEDO (R-32) from tatacliq, seller (Great Eastern Retail Private Limited) on 04/07/21. It was installed yesterday( 08/07/21).
Right after installation I complained to installation personnel about poor quality.
1. Poor quality or very low cooling.
2. Lots of compressor noise.
3. Poor electricity efficiency.
4. Expected low compressor life.
5. Smell of oil burning.
6. Remote works and sometimes not.
Issues in detail.
1. Cooling. Size of my room is 130 sq feet. I had set AC to a 23-25 degrees target temperature.FAn speed set to 3. Outside temperature 39 degrees, room temperature before start of AC 31 degreesTemperature in the room is checked by both digital and analogue thermometers. Even after running the AC for 2 hours the temperature in the room drops to only 27/28 degree only not lower then that.There are no air leakages in the room. AC voltage 225-230 volts. Stabilizer used.
I have three one year old window ACs in the other rooms by another company. All running then this one in far bigger rooms (150-200 sq feet). They cool far better than this one.
The thing this AC(Hitachi) does is dry up the sweat and nothing more.
2. Compressor noise. The AC compressor makes a lot of noise making it difficult to work in the same room. Not only this since the AC struggles to lower temperature to set temperature, the compressor keeps running on and on for as long as AC is switched on.
My other Window ACs in other rooms hardly make any noise.
3. High Electricity usage- Since AC compressor keeps running on and on as long as AC is running, without reaching target temperature. All along the ampere meter reads usage of 7.2 Amperes of current.There is no thermostat cut down at all. God knows how this Ac managed to get 3 star ratings.
4. The compressor keeps running without the thermostat cut down and making a lot of noise. It's obvious a very low quality compressor is used and it's not expected to run for long.
5. There is also the smell of burning oil from day one.
6. The AC remote is also moody. It works and sometimes doesn't work with no display on the remote.
My above complaints show that this AC has undergone absolutely no quality control. I wonder why I pay a premium for the hitachi brand.
Kindly facilitate faster replacement of the product or in case it's an issue of poor quality components, as I personally believe, please facilitate faster refund of my payment. I have already raised a return request with tatacliq.
