Honda Cars India Ltd. — no warranty on paint, rusting all over honda city car within 1.5year. | |||
Dear sir/mam, i am rajendra shinde resident at kalkhde, taluka dhule & dist. Dhule, maharashtra india. I bought a new honda city top model and car delivered to me on 9th october 2015. After first monsoon i observed lots of very small yellow spots on my car, after few days they are increased and also size increased in the form of inside metal rusting. Automotive paint has only two purposes to make car look good and to protect the underlying metal from the harsh environment. I launched a complaint on honda 121 on 14june 2017. They said me to meet with dealer and show the spots accordingly my vehicle shown to deccan honda as i purchased from deccan honda. Deccan honda picked some pictures and mailed to honda as said to me. As per advice of deccan honda regent honda is suitable for further line of action as last service done at regent honda and you are staying in kalyan. Accordingly my complaint transferred to regent honda kalyan. After long followup with honda 121 and customer care date of inspection scheduled on 04/09/2017. A team from honda came to see my car along with dealer person and paint technical person he picked all pictures. At the time of joint inspection he opinion that this problem due to internal coating at the time of painting. The team submitted the complete report on 13/09/2015 (10.35am) to honda car india ltd, same was communicated through honda 121 on 14/09/2017 through telephonically (Recording of the same available). I said him to mail me the report of joint inspection or give me in written. As earlier report not in favour of honda car ltd, honda customer care scheduled another inspection on 22/09/2016. At the time of inspection no one scientific/technical member available for inspection area manager mr vipul saini telephonically communicated to dealer. As per instruction of area manager painter remover small portion through grinder. And communicated to area manager again and am refuse to talk with me telephonically as my phone is on recording mode. When any metal surface we grind the clearer metal observed grinding process remove the small metal layer. Area manage mr. Vipul saini (Mechanical engineer) without watching and physical inspection communicated honda the problem of rusting is due to external impact. When any metal surface we grind the clearer rusting and metal observed. But how he conclude inside metal is ok, without watching and any analyses of paint application. The same portion on next day morning within 8 to 10 hours observed rusted that means the procedure applied for finding is not scientific. I communicated photograph of the same portion to honda customer care ltd. Honda customer care communicated me on 23/09/2016 as follows 1) paint /rusting is not covered in warrantee. 2) rusting problem is due to environmental factors, proximity to sea coast and various others factors like maintenance, parking etc. 3) post inspection it has been observed that rusting is due to the external factors and cannot be termed as a manufacturing defect. 4) the inspection carried out as per our honda procedure. In this regards i say and submit that, i purchase honda city top-end model of @14 lakh, then how company refuse within 1.5 year paint rusting is not our responsibility, as paint used for protect from environment.
