Honda Siel Cars India Ltd. — Brake failure while getting down from hills

sir Iam Rangaraj residing in dindigul, tamilnadu have honda city zx vehicle bought new in 2007 have done regular services in dindigul and madurai.Last sunday on 1.3.2015 I have got a bitter experience while getting down from ooty in my car, before barliar while I park my vehicle behind a bus in traffic I had to pull up the handbrake because the traffic is long and after the vehicle moves when released the handbrake and pressed the brake peddel, it goes down with no function and I pumped the peddel thrice it does not worked and the bus in front of me fortunately stopped and impact is made on the bus.I have got local assistance and found brake piston has jammed and it was released by a local mechanic.I took my car to madurai sundaram honda service and informed about the accident due to brake failure.After analysing the vehicle the service personal advised me to change the brake shoe and pads and the reason for the brake failure is not explained till now and the car is still in madurai.They say that the problem is solved by changing the shoe and pads because wear and tear may be the cause but even when there is wear and tear braking will be slow but never brake failure occurs.In order to drive the vehicle with satisfaction and safetywe have to know the reason behind this and it should be rectified for safety concerns.Now I have to know about the full explanation of this problem and to rectify it in my vehicle.Thank you
