On 29.6.2021, I was working on my laptop while it was charging. Suddenly my laptop bursted out of nowwhere with the flash and bang. The whole room filled with smoke. I was shocked and stunned. This incident was pretty much life-threatening for me and my family member. I would like to let you know that power supply at my home at that particular time was completely fine since other device also plugged in then. I have also checked my charger which is working properly.
I am using HP product since a pretty long time now but never face something like this this is totally unexpected from HP. The age of my laptop is only 1.5 years .
On 30th june I called on Hp service help desk number and after describing all the details and sending the picture and videos of damaged laptop, a case is filed. The case number is - [protected] CRM:[protected]. I was told that Regional Manager would call me within 24 hours. But within a week I got no call. I called again on the 6th july and I was told as before that the manager was suppose to called by 8 p.m. and again did not get any call.
Then I again called HP service centre and they said engineer would visit in my house for this issue. And this send me a bill of 28111 rupees. I am not willing to pay this money for any form of servicing as there is a risk of life. I again called HP and they said 1st servicing would free and filed a new case - [protected].
But again they send me a bill. Lastly said some upper authority supposed to call me within 48 hours . But I got no call .
Firstly it could have been a life threatening event and secondly I don't understand what it means to be harassrd like this. I am eagerly looking forward to your prompt response or else I would not have any other options but to bring this incident in notice of other buyers .
