HP India — Laptop, HP ENVY 14 | |||||
So I received the laptop on 24th of September 2021 from the official HP website where the order was placed. After exactly a month, the laptop starts to overheat and the fans do not run, and the command center also stopped working. I contacted HP customer service, they appointed a service technician who visited me 2 days later. That person wasn't even trained to handle this laptop, the service center which appointed him also works for Lenovo, Gionee and other brands too. Well he says he will clean the fans and removes the back panel. After cleaning the fans, when turned the laptop, it showed a fake battery pop up which I had never seen before this moment. He says to "ignore" it and tells me to report about it by evening (he visited at morning 12 o'clock). After about half an hour he left my place, the laptop shut down and didn't turn on even on AC power and battery. I contacted the service center, they told me to visit their service center even though I have ONSITE repair. Anyways, they said they will raise the issue to HP. Now I contact HP the next day and they say they are raising an issue. I contacted the service head of my state (Karnataka) and he said that he will provide a replacement (DOA approval) on 29th of October. I kept on asking him about the status of my case, he just kept on saying it is under process. Whenever I called the HP customer service, they said they didn't recieve any update from the service head who was handling my case which shows how pathetic the communication among them is. Till today, I ask them what is the update (both, customer service and the Level 1 manager service head), they just say it's due process of the DOA letter. It's completely pathetic, very unethical after sales support. I mean I have not been able to use my laptop since 8 days and these guys aren't even helping. If the state service head is showing this kind of behaviour, what to expect from such a brand? The service head yesterday asked for my email and told me I was gonna get the DOA letter on my mail, but he was just playing a ruse. I keep on messaging him and he just says to wait for sometime and never replies later. The service center has very untrained employees. They don't even know how to handle a laptop delicately.
