[Resolved] HTC India — Defective Replacement and Product

Dear Sir/Madam I am Girish from Bangalore.I have a desire v device purchased on[protected], the device worked fine till September 2013. In September it failed (Automatic Restarting) and HTC repaired it.In December some issues happened and HTC Repaired it again, at that time they changed the mother board, circuit board, Display etc. I contacted HTC regarding the frequent failure of the device and said that there is a problem with the device. HTC replied that all the issues been rectified and phone shall work fine (they delivered the repaired device in January 2014 only). After 2 months, in March some where again the device failed, this time it was SIM not detecting and issues with the display.Since I was busy with my work was able to submit the device only in April end some where. They took the device and told me to pay Rs.7000 for the repair charge, I contacted many times and told them that these issues are not physical damage and the repaired part was failed earlier also. Then they agreed to repair it free of cost and took almost 2 Months to repair and delivery. After the repair in June-2014 end some where again issue's started and this time it was with Internet and Audio. They asked me to visit TVS Electronics in Jayanagar, Bangalore and I visited that shop many times. Initially they just flashed the ROM and said that it is fine.Again I visited there they did the same and told me that if issues are happening again have to replace the motherboard again, they charged me Rs.393 as service charge .The issues persisted and I spoke with Piyush of HTC Escalation Team have asked me to submit the device in service center and they will do a free repair and this going to be a last repair and if any problem happens shall give a new device. I submitted the device in Srinivasa Technologies in Indiranagar, Bangalore. HTC repaired it and delivered in July end, The issue's not been rectified and I contacted HTC again and they asked me to submit the device again.I submitted and visited the store on 16-08-14 to get the device back, now the issue was related to back panel and the device, there was a gap between them and more over the device was delivered in a white box with no details on it (New serial Number and IMEI number etc and also the seal(a sticker only) was in an open state). I contacted HTC and requested to deliver the device in a box with the details such as new IMEI and Serial number. Since I have the old device box and bill, while selling it this will create doubt in the mind of people that am selling a stolen device. The other part is that this will reduce the resale value of the device since this is a replacement of the defective product.HTC said that they can't do that and I have to use the device, which has a gap (this may lead to water and dust to seep in to it). I am emotionally broken down due to this arrogant behaviour from HTC and also for selling me defective device.I am looking only for money refund because lost trust on them.I have spent a lot of money and time by visiting their service centers also. I raised a complaint and escalated the case to HTC. They replace me with a new phone of upgraded model.If you are facing issue please contact HTC and escalate the case to their escalation team.They will surely help you.
