Hyundai Motor India — Handling charges by Hyundai dealership (Fortune Hyundai). Is it illegal?
I recently went to book a new car (Hyundai Creta) at Fortune Hyundai dealership in Greater Noida. Apart from Ex-showroom and RTO charges they are also charging me for Handling. As per my knowledge "Handling charges" over and above ex-showroom price is illegal and vehicle dealerships across India are generating thousands of crores of rupees every year through this unfair trade practice. When I tried to question the Sales executives, they confirmed that in Hyundai it is mandatory to pay Handling charges and I should confirm it from Hyundai. Therefore for the past 10 days I am trying to contact Hyundai Customer Care, Regional Sales Heads and even the CEO Mr. S.S. Kim. However, I have not received a single reply or call from anybody in Hyundai. I wish government makes a strict law to clarify this situation. Thanks and regards. Was this information helpful?
