How we were denied check-in after they took full payment in advance (Goibibo hotel booking id htldsjhw7 on the grounds of some term citing "local id" they use for this racket even mentioned in their policy not even mentioned (Or only mentioned only in small print?).

Whats even worse?
Goibibo link /scheme of *money back guarantee* - https://go.ibi.bo/EXAaeT seems to be another big lie!

Fyi : we even called the hotel prior to reaching and also presented driving license, but in vain and goibibo's staff aditya grover was also made aware immediately, but in vain. Instead goibibo seems to be involved in this racket, just by the fact that they have confirmed "no refund", forget an apology for the trauma caused!

UPDATE: REFER screenshot of message/inbox where we communicated with ADMINS of GOIBIBO FB page. They seem DELIBERATELY blind to the EVIDENCE presented.
The reason for the TACTICAL SILENCE on part of GOIBIBO seems to be clear MOTIVE.

You just have to wonder if the loot thus put together by cheating many customers is shared from the top of the hierarchy at GOIBIBO? FYI : CEO is one MR.SANJAY BHASIN

NOTE : Booking ID HTLDSJHW7D

As already mentioned above, we did reach out to your customer care within a few minutes and spoke with GOIBIBO staffers Aditya Grover, Sunny Mehrotra and Nitin Kumar ( as well as Neha Pal and Rajesh Kumar on the next day), BUT WE WERE LIED TO.

Please CHECK the call-recordings where they are supporting the lies of the hotel with the claim that the hotel-policy mentions that "local-IDs" are not allowed BUT please check the screenshots (above and here below) which does NOT MENTION the term "local" anywhere!
Driving license ( as admitted by Rajesh Kr of GOIBIBO as "valid ID") was presented to ANIL KR at the reception but neither did they allow check-in NOR DID THEY REFUND
Further, it seems highly suspect that after this issue was highlighted, the same link would not show the hotel policy! (CHECK 2nd screenshot)
SO clearly this is a CHEATING racket, encouraged by GOIBIBO
And we will have to take this matter to its logical conclusion wherein REFUND, APOLOGY and COMPENSATION for the trauma caused will be due to us, the cheated party.

PLEASE NOTE that I am the guest of the host who paid for the booking and I have every right to bring this issue up for myself as well as both o[censored]s. Awaiting a PROMPT and ETHICAL resolution along with full refund, apology and compensation from GOIBIBO.

More significantly WHY does GOIBIBO support a policy that REEKS OF MORAL-POLICY in this day and age??

Stayuncle.com does NOT.

Is GOIBIBO therefore REGRESSIVE?? DOES your CEO need to be reminded this is 2019?

Please find attached the hotel policies mentioned on your voucher. We have checked with hotel for refund but they have denied it because policies are clearly mentioned on the voucher.

As per your email it does mention that local id is not allowed. We can only abide hotel policies in this case as information was provided by us at the time of booking.

Goibibo your response is NOT JUSTIFIED at many levels. Please respond POINT BY POINT to the following:

please tell us why this MORAL POLICING policy is mentioned ONLY in SMALL PRINT? ( unlike your competition who manage to highlight it so you don't miss it prior to booking or paying)??

Could it be that Goibibo Support has deliberately DESIGNED it to be missed so there's money to be made?

IN ANY CASE, how does Goibibo even justify such regressive MORAL POLICING policies in 2019??
It's not like some of your competition ( like StayUncle.com) isn't managing to do without this moral policing/homophobic policy). Again, could it be because there is money to be made by Goibibo while a policy that has no place in 2019 is being encouraged by you to cheat those trusting brand Goibibo offers?

ALSO, IF GOIBIBO must IMPOSE this MORAL-POLICING, How ETHICAL is for you to ACCEPT FULL PAYMENT without asking for submission of the ID when booking just so the process is at least HONEST, even if REGRESSIVE?

Or at least REFUND in full even if you overlook the mental agony and harassment?

Many would view this as DELIBERATE tactic by GOIBIBO to encourage CHEATING its customers. ANY explanation for this, GOIBIBO?
