[Resolved] Ibibo Group / Goibibo — fraudulent cancellation | |||
A booking was made for hotel president in vadodara, gujrat through goibibo on 4th dec 2017 for check-in date on 5th dec 2017 till 8th dec 2017 for a super deluxe room. (Booking id - htlz3hcxhr) When we went to the hotel, the hotel staff said that the booking was cancelled from our side, while we never cancelled the booking otherwise we would not have gone to the hotel in the first place. The amount for the booking which was rs. 10, 356 was also deducted from the account. When we called the goibibo executive, he said that one of their staff named vimal received a call from our side for cancellation. The question is, how can they cancel a booking without properly confirming who the caller is and whether he is authorized to cancel or not? Atleast they should cross check it. The executive also failed to provide any relevant cancellation details and any information about this vimal guy and from which number he recieved the call. This is so unprofessional of the goibibo customer care staff. This is clearly a technical mistake from goibibo's side. And if they are clear on their side, they should provide us with the number the call came from so that we can verify it. This carelessness of goibibo was very inconvenient to us both physically (As we had to go searching for another hotel that day) and monetarily (As the booking was not non-refundable and it was a total waste of money). We have checked and found that the mobile number entered in the booking was not related to Mr Hussain and the user of the mobile number has been cancelled the booking as it was not related to him. Yes, but you should at least check who is cancelling, we did not even receive any cancellation message. And give us the details of the guy who cancelled and the number from which booking was cancelled.
