ICICI Bank — declined cashback. | |
First of all this is more of a warning rather than a complaint. So icici bank was running cashback offer on amazon.in purchases. Offer was that we had to register using our mobile numbers to 'activate cashback' (This claim can be verified using the screenshot_1 uploaded below) and then shop normally on amazon.in. Then user was supposed to get cashback o[censored]pto 5% for purchase during offer period. There were various slabs of cashback % but cashback was over and above all other offers that were running on amazon.in already. This offer ran on their website 2 times in october and i purchased both times. It was not mentioned anywhere that offer can be claimed both times or it was only to be claimed once. So i assumed that it can be claimed twice but that's a different story. So i purchased worth inr 5169 on 12th oct. 2019 and around inr 4000+ on 22nd oct. 2019 but when i asked about the cashback they kept telling me about some other offer. Now those of you who are addicted to amazon sales like me will know that there are offers that run on amazon.in and they need no activation (Not from icici at least) and this offer clearly needed activation as shown in screenshot_1 uploaded. Now icici bank's foolish customer care people kept telling that offer was on amazon purchase on min inr 50000 which would give me cashback of inr 1750 which is only 3.5% cashback but again see screenshot_1 to check that offer was upto 5%. So you can see that they couldn't even identify the offer that was running on their website. I am attaching all the screenshots of chats, in order, as they happened.
