[Resolved] ICICI Bank — icici bank a/c holder name correction request being denied | |||||
My full name is bijeesh marunnoli and i hold the a/c #0357*28 with icici bank. I have been using this account for the last 7 years as my salary account. I noticed my last name (Marunnoli) was misspelled as marunndli in my icici personal details and i visited icici hsr layout branch (Home branch) twice with an inquiry regarding what to do about it. But i was disheartened by the reply that i received, that it is not possible to change an account holder name and i need to close down my account and start a new one with correct name. All my salary deposits are associated with this account and i would not like to close this down. None of the documents i submitted will carry an incomplete name of mine and i am sure of this. While this is a straight forward request considering the documents i can produce (Pan card which is already linked / aadhaar which i should have used as address proof) i do not understand why my request is being turned down. I have to update my aadhhar to this account, but not able to do due to this mistake. Was this information helpful? | |||||
