[Resolved] ICICI Bank — personal loan preclosure | |||
I had a personal loan account#lpcal[protected] with icici bank of amount 420000. I have authorized my wife to foreclose my loan account. On 17/01/19 my wife was visited the icici bank ltd. Ifsc code: icic0006950. I also signed a check of icici bank of account no#xxxxx1546144 for using foreclosure purpose. The bank official denied the icici bank check which was signed by me saying signature is not matching. Then my wife used her united bank of india check#090389 account#xxxxxxx293068 for the same. After 6 - 7 days later after enquiring got to know that the check has not been cleared by ubi. Please note the account#xxxxxxx293068 has been maintained with sufficient balance. Moreover the united bank of india bank also charged an amount inr 260 for check return. Next day my wife was visited her ubi bank to investigate the matter and the bank official said that they need the check to provide a reason like why the check has not been cleared. So my wife requested the icici bank to return the check so that she can investigate with ubi bank. The icici bank official said they cannot return the check as per the bank policy. Finally my wife carried cash as instructed by icici bank and on 29/01/19, after depositing the loan closer amount by cash and the penalty amount of inr 472 for the check return they accepted the application. Next day 30/01/19 the bank agent again called my wife and said she needs to visit the bank because there is a miscalculation happened and they forgot to add the interest amount of inr 1049 from 17/01/19 to 29/01/19. On 30/01/19, my wife visited the bank for depositing the interest amount of inr 1049 and finally the loan account has been closed. 1. I want the ubi bank check#090389 account no#xxxxxxx293068 currently with icici bank possession to find out root cause. 2. I have been charged inr 472 for check return then why not icici bank would be charged for their mistake as well?
