[Resolved] ICICI Bank — problem regarding one assist plan and adhaar card link up | |||
Banking with icici bank has really become a pain for me these days. One: un-informed one assist plan activation I have received sms from icici bank that rs-1899/- deducted from account to one assist plan without my permission for second time.. I have raised a complaint through the icici bank customer number on two occasions (Which are again a rip-off as it makes you phone bill minimum of rs 50/- because of their really long queues) and told them that we are not at all interested in this services and this kind of charging to account without any consent/agreement. I really demanded refund of money for phone calls i made to them. Two: linking up your adhaar card a pain I am not able to link my adhaar card to my account. Whenever i try to do it i get a message saying name/date of birth mismatched. So visited icici madanapalle branch (Home branch) with an inquiry regarding what to do about it. Was told that my surname was not return in full and was only one letter "s" (The bank person who created my account didn't even have some common sense to write my full name as in the application/passport proof provided) and got a dissatisfying reply, that it is not possible to correct an account holder name and options only being; 1. That needs to bring name change affidavit/copies of newspaper publications/pan card/voter id and aadhaar card. (With new name on it)/change of name change gazette notification 2. I need to close down my account and start a new one with correct name. 3. Get name changed on adhaar card (Suggested by local bank staff) For option 1: it’s really a hectic process because we all know how much time and money would be wasted in government approvals and For option 2: i would not like to close this down as its associated with my 10 years of banking history. For option 3: really a bad suggestion as my full name is same in all the documents and how will i make it just one letter and i have to sort this out asap before the deadline of jan 1, 2018. I understand if it was a name change. But it’s just a small correction and there should be some procedure to sort these things out. Was this information helpful? | |||
