[Resolved] ICICI Bank — Regarding the mismatch of account number in cheque book | |||
I have opened a salary account with icici bank in the month of december 2016. I received a welcome kit with atm card and cheque book. But the account number i received and the account number in the cheque book is different. Unfortunately my dad has tried to transfer an amount of 40000 to my account and he added me as a beneficiary with the cheque book account. Since it is not my account and its completely the fault from the icici bank staff who has provided me the welcome kit, my money been transferred to a different account (Cheque book). I have a logged a complaint in the nearest branch. But the response is very slow. They inform like it may take longer time to reverse my money. Also in order to reverse the money they need a debit authorization letter from the customer who received my amount. They are just trying to call them and no response from customer. Moreover they don't take a pain to visit the customer premises to find her and they argue with me like they follow the procedure. Its totally disgusting and feel bad for opening the account with icici bank. Was this information helpful? | |||
