[Resolved]  ICICI Bank — service fraud

Hello,

We, elite broadband pvt ltd, had opened a current account with "icici bank, IT Tower-3, Infocity, Gandhinagar, Gujarat", IFSC Code: ICIC0001183 ; account number:[protected] on 30/03/2018.

The bank manager ankit mehta and his collegue ravi vadher personally came to our office for opening the new account. he explained some schemes for the same in which we decided to open a "wealth account" in which we had to deposit a Rs. 5 lac. cheque only once while opening the new acoount.

By doing so, we were told that we will not be charged for atm card fees, online transaction fees, mobile alert charges, non maintenance of minimum balance charges etc. in short, no charges at all will be applied to our current account. also we will not have to maintain any monthly minimum balance in current account. also they promised for cash and cheque pick-ups on daily basis free of charges.

we gave him the 5 lac. cheque the next day for opening the account and told him not to deposit the cheque until we say so. even after repeatedly informing him to not deposit the cheque, he went on doing the same twice without informing us. both the cheques were bounced.(on dates 03/04/2018 & 11/04/2018). On 24/04/2018, after getting both of our bounced cheque back to us, we gave him a new Rs.5 Lac cheque in order to open "wealth account", as promised.
the charges for bounced cheque 118 rs. both the times, which were deducted after some times.

After a week, online banking id password and atm card for one director were delivered to our office. and the other director's atm card and online banking id password kit were not delivered even till now. we have received mail that the atm card is returned to icici bank due to it could not be delivered. to till date, they are not yet delivered at our location, we have complained about this matter to both ankit mehta and ravi vadher, but always got back no responses at all. they said it will be delivered in some days. but till now no atm card or online access kit is received.

the charges for atm card usage and online id password kit were deducted already, even if only one director is having access to them and other don't.
now every month the monthly non maintenance are also being deducted from our account even after we have the "wealth account" with icici bank.

we also gave 2 cheques to ravi vadher, to deposit them in our account. the cheques are not deposited to till date and after inquiring about this matter, ankit mehta told that they don't have any cheque with them from us.
(the date for first cheques given to ravi is not remembered correctly, the second cheque was given to him on 09/07/2018).

After talking to ankit on why we are being charged for monthly non maintenance, he told us that he opened our account with rs. 10000 minimum balance monthly plan, and not the "wealth account", as we were promised and told.
Also the way he replied to us were very rude and unprofessional as a branch manager.(We also have the phone recording of the same conversation with ankit mehta) in my opinion, he is not even morally suited to fit the role of the branch manager.

Till date we are charged in total rs. 2490 approximately, by stating many service charges, for which were told to be exempted from under "wealth account". I can send the account statement for your reference if and when needed.

It is a total fraud by ankit mehta & ravi vadher and breach of customer's faith in icici banking system, by promising something and delivering quite the opposite of what were promised.

As a matter of fact, we took pleasure in choosing ICICI bank over any other privately owned banks for opening our current account. But at the end, the services and promised offered by you are neither delivered nor propely addressed.

I also urge the authority to look into this matter and take appropriate actions against the responsible employees.

Also infrom us what steps could be taken to resolve above mentioned issues, and refunding the inappropriately deducted charge.
