My father took an insurance in his name and made me the nominee.(policy number[protected]My father passed away on 21st Nov 2018. I was not aware of the policy. Since september 2019 I started to get calls from the company saying that the policy was going to mature and that it should be invested in another policy to save tax. I told them that my father had passed away and shared the death certificate and all other related documents. But the company representatives convinced me to change the policy, using my father's email ID (policy number[protected]. When I found the insurance documents, I asked the company to return my money and cancel the policy. In the peak of covid also I was running around their office with all the documents, including my father's death certificate. Since October 2019 I am following up, but there has been no resolution. Now they tell me that the legal department is looking into it because the policy was changed after the death of the insurer. I want my money back and the company must pay for the unscrupulous and unethical behaviour. I want to be compensated for the mental and emotional trauma I have been put through

Updated by SumaD My complaint was forwarded to the customer support on 11th September. Till date there has been no acknowledgement neither has anyone gotten in touch with me. Such a sorry state of affairs.
I am having a similar experience with them. Unscrupulous is putting it mildly. The behavior of their staff is unethical and unprofessional. Very sad state of affairs in a global bank such as ICICI. Which city or branch are your sales reps from? Mine is residency road, bangaore. I just filed a grievance on them. Hoping for some response.
I am from Hyderabad. There is no clarity on which branch handles what. The standard reply is that it is in process.But for how long? I keep asking them if they are waiting for the claimant also to die so that they can close the case. Still no response.
They don't tell me who the ombudsman is, or whom I can reach out to.
