[Resolved] IFB — fully automatic ifb washing machine | |||
Ifb complain no: [protected] on 8th march 2020. There was a minor problem of the door alignment which was not closing properly. However the machine was very much in working condition at the time of booking of the complain. We were told that the hinge of the door will have to be replaced by the ifb technician but when the ifb technician – mr ashok khichhi came to replace the hinge he broke grove on which the hinge is fitted. We are now being charged additional for the mistake of the ifb technician which is not acceptable. On speaking to the ifb ahmedabad service head – mr. Bhavsar, i was told that the initial amount which was told was only approximate amount and that as they take up the job if the estimate increases, we will have to pay the additional amount as well. Why should the customer pay for the mistake of the company technician. Earlier we were told by the ifb technician that the hinge will have to be replaced and for that rs 1300/- will have to be paid and rs 700/- will have to be paid for the labor – a total of rs 2100/-, which i agreed to pay. I agreed to pay inspite of the fact that the machine had the extended warranty of bajaj finance and ifb refused to give free service during the bajaj finance extended warranty period which i was sold at the time of purchasing of the washing machine. This is a clear case of ill treatment to a customer who bought ifb product through a reputed retailer - vijay sales outlet and also bought a extended warranty from bajaj finance, which is not being honored either by ifb or bajaj finance (Bajaj finance complain no: oc[protected] dated 8/03/2020). Vijay sales conveniently absolving from the responsibility by asking us to either contact ifb or bajaj finance.. The entire electronic and electrical of the machine is dismantled and the machine is now in totally non functional.
