[Resolved] IFB Industries — deficiency in services | |||
My IFB washing machine, model ELena SX, stopped working on the 27th of September 2018, after which I informed IFB customer care (Goa) of the same. The next day, an IFB technician was sent to inspect the Washing Machine and he diagnosed the problem as MCU card failure. Subsequently a new one was procured and fitted by him on the 29th September 2018. The very same day after repair the Washing Machine broke down again. After many calls to both customer care (Goa) and the technician, he finally visited again only on 4th of October 2018. This time we were told that the Motor was weak and it may not last for 1 week. The machine again stopped working on the 5th October 2015, and we raised a complaint with customer care. After repeated requests no answers were forth coming. After speaking to the area sales manager, a senior technician was sent to inspect the washing machine. He clearly stated that the motor was at fault and not the MCU card. So basically the IFB technicians are practising their trade at the customers expense. When asked for a refund of the same, they say its not in their policy. They have not made any alternative attempts to fix the same. This is clearly a case of deficiency in services and i demand for a refund of the wrongly changed part. Failing which I intend to approach the Consumer Forum to seek appropriate action. Was this information helpful? | |||

The technical head of IFB Goa, got in touch with me and enquired about the problem. He responded quickly and offered to refund the money for the wrong part changed. All's well that ends well. IFB Industries customer support has been notified about the posted complaint.
