[Resolved]  IFB Industries — ifb top load 6.5 kgs washing machine

Purchased this machine in december 2015.in this june-july 2019, it stopped working giving p5 error. Contacted customer care and they sent area executive for "lb nagar" area where we reside. One person came, checked and never returned. After many many calls he came one day and said some parts require replacement. Again gone and never returned. Again after many calls he came one day with an item and tried fitting and said item does not match and went away. Again never returned. Again same story and finally he replaced the item but same p5 error. And that # never came back again. We suffered one month then onwards. Finally we found vanasthalipuram are agent venkatesh and requested him to fix the issue. He came and replaced the sensor and it worked for some days but again same problem. Again we called him, he came and replaced the sensor one more time. Not sure if he is placing new sensors or old ones. After that it worked for few days and then onwards giving lo error continuously. Since then we are calling that executive/technician venkatesh but he is not coming to see the issue.

We are feeling ashamed to purchase ifb washing machine. Will anyone come and fix the issue or this is the way ifb serves?

Dear Team,

Yes your team has provided the estimated cost for repair. But what is that you are going to replace for the 2 months of worst experience your LB NAGAR service center team has given. They unnecessarily changed the PCB at the beginning of the complaint and didn't even care if the new one is working or not. We got it checked by other area IFB team and came to know problem is with water sensor and we got the water sensor replaced for total of Rs 2000 [ item cost + service charges] and we paid almost Rs 6000 to our maid for washing clothes . We have a kid at home and obviously clothes will be more and we have to pay more for servants and we have to suffer lot if machine does not work for 1 day also. After the sensor added it worked for a week and stopped. I am sure all because of that LB NAGAR staff opened the PCB for 3 times and only 3rd time he got the new piece that too did not correct the problem.

Now the same staff and someone else came home and arguing with us. And you are saying that you will repair it and we need to pay. So what is that you did for the 2 months suffer your team has given. simply asking us to pay for the new item and get the machine corrected is not fair on your part. that too without any warranty.

Yesterday when the technical team came I was not available and my father spoke to them and he was very unhappy that they are just throwing the mistake on us. See, no customer would want to leave the machine without correction. we literally fought for it and when there was no use we went for other area executives at least who pickup the phone call not like your LB NAGAR team who has no sense to pick the call or at least respond to the call at later point

We are not happy with wither of the offers you gave 1. The paid replacement of the PCB after 2 months of THE MOST WORST experience we had 2. New machine offer cost.

We are not happy with both the offers.

Point#1 :We expected that for the 3 months suffer we had because of the worst and poor customer support, the machine will be repaired free of cost. But, we were charged for the service on the next day of my above feedback for which no response was there. They charged around Rs 3800/- and as mentioned in my above email, in the 3 months of no service we spent 5-6 k for maid to clean clothes. altogether it is almost equal to a new machine cost. I am asking for refund of the money charged which is Rs 3800/-

Point#2: Even before a month of the above service the machine is again into trouble, Rinse&Spin options are not working. We called up the executive and since last 7-8 days he is daily saying he will come the same day. One day he came and checked the problem and said he will fix and again daily mentioning he is coming. Finally since today afternoon he stopped picking calls.

Point#3: 4 months back, as I mentioned in my complaint, vanasthalipuram agent Venkatesh fixed that time problem partially and for that he took around Rs1500/- for the item cost. He said the item name is "Water sensor". Later your LB Nagar staff and other technicians confirmed us that it is not a water sensor it is some thing else and would NOT cost more than Rs200/-. Its a pure cheating.

I need immediate resolution for point#2. And resolutions for point#1 and #3 as soon as possible. Otherwise I need to go to consumer court. Can not bear your team's worst response and cheating anymore
