[Resolved] IFB Industries — Non standard charges | |||||
Ticket no. [protected] I had purchased a IFB microwave oven 1.5 years ago. It was working fine until two days ago. Suddenly there was a problem in turntable motor, so i requested a visitation of technician. While filing complaint i asked the call centre person that whether there a will be a visiting charge and he said that as the warranty of microwave is 3 years hence there will be no visiting charge. Now coming to the next part, when the engineer came to inspect what the problem was he demanded visiting charges of rs 350. He told me to replace the motor and it would cost me 780 rs. To confirm the charges for service and parts i checked IFB website and there was no mention of either service charge or the prices of parts to be replaced. I was out of options so i agreed upon the charges told to me by technician. After service he handed me a bill of 350 + 780 rs i.e. total of 1130. I have used various products of various other companies and none of them takes service charge if the parts to be replaced are bought directly from company. He took 350 rs, only for opening two screws. This is just height of atrocity. After visitation, a message came from the company to pay 345 rs and no spare part was replaced. To this i called call centre and asked them what were the exact service charges, he answered me 355 rs. Then i asked him to differentiate between the following a message of total bill was received and it said 345 rs i was charged 350 rs and you are saying 355 rs. And i asked him further that why message says that the no spare part was replaced. He was just clueless regarding my questions so he told me that his senior will contact me within 1 hr and requested me to cut the call. After waiting for 1 hr my patience worn out so i looked at the bill properly. This type of bill could have been made by anyone, there was no mention of exact amount of tax included, neither the value of spare part was mentioned properly. I am highly dissatisfied by the customer service of the IFB. At least they should have cleared the doubts regarding bill and proper mention of spare part should have been given in the message. I just wanted to ensure that the money paid by me going into legitimate hands, but due to their improper billing i think that this is just a way to make black money for them. After this service, i highly discourage anyone to further buy IFB appliances Was this information helpful? | |||||
