[Resolved] IFB Industries — purchased oven from ifb-after sale service is pathetic and needs immediate attention | |||
I am raising this complaint with reference to an oven purchased from ifb. Exactly after use of this machine it suddenly stopped heating and hence had raised a service request with the ifb, a technician turned up after frequent followups during oct 18 and confirmed that the megatron is at fault and needs to be replaced. During, second visit the technician bought an incorrect megatron and asked me that he would want the oven to be taken to his place to have it rectified which i denied and asked him to have it done at my residence. The technician later closed this request which again i had to followup with ifb csr to check on the status who then provides me contact number of the owner of technician-3rd party mr. Manjunath-# [protected] who later confirmed that the megatron of my model is not available and has ordered for one. Later, after frequent followups with mr. Manjunath, he sends a person by name - mr. Natraj contact # [protected] who inturn delays for a day or two and then visits my home. First, the technician claims that the amc is expired and asks me to pay the service charges and only he would replace the megatron as it is under warranty. He also told me about the amc charges for a year or two which i agreed to pay. I paid rs. 1, 550.00 for amc charges instead of paying service charge of 350 to 500. Later, he replaces the megatron and once he had tested for first time, oven was able to heat and later when we started using the machine for heating the food, we could find a burning smell. I immediately called the technician mr. Natraj and told him the issue and asked him if any case if he has placed an old megatron as he had not had a sealed packed of the new megatron replaced. He confirmed over the phone that it was new and all the megatron are received in a bunch and would not have a box or cover and he confirmed he would would again order for another one and will have it fixed. Today-17-nov-18, when i called him many times which mr. Natraj did not pick the call. Hence, called his owner-mr. Manjunath - not sure who picked the call and which i told him to cancel the amc learning of such a service and again to replace with the correct product. But, the response is very rude and confirms that he would not be able to replace the megatron. Hence, i would like to have this resolved asap and looking at the response, i would ask ifb management to look into this issue and my request would be the following : 1) cancel and refund the amc charges paid of rs.1550.00 2) if ifb is not able to replace the megatron which is under warranty, then please refund the entire amount of the oven paid during purchase and take back the oven as ifb is not able to keep their promises. Replaced Megatron with new on 11-Dec-18- while the first replacement during Nov-18 was a faulty one or defective.
No burning smell and it is functioning smooth.
