Income Tax Department — Delay Providing PAN Card | |||||
I have applied for pan card on 14th march 2017. On the day of 18th march my application status was showing (Income Tax Department (ITD) database shows that you may have been issued PAN in your name. ITD yet to inform status of your application.) I called at pan helpline on 020 – 2721 8080 twice to tell them that i don't have any idea about the issuance of any PAN number. For the first time after waiting so many days and getting same status, On 30th march 2017 i called at 020 – 2721 8080 to ask them the reason of delay. The customer service lady told me that she will update the status of my application as i told her i don't have any idea of any pan number related to me. And she told me i will definitely get my pan number in a week.But still i get same message. After one week, i again called and i get same answer and same result. I am really disappointed now Please issue me pan number as i want to file my tax returns. I am unable to open bank account in any of the banks because of not having PAN number.
