Indian Bank — transfer of sb account from one branch to another branch | |||
I opened a s. B. Account in the kolathur branch of the indian bank, the account no. Being[protected]. Consequent upon shifting of my family from kolathur to porur, i submitted an application form duly requesting the bank to the porur branch. Few days later, i visited the porur branch and when enquired about the transfer of the sb account, i was confirmed of the transfer of my account from kolathur to porur branch. Also, i gave an application to the porur branch to change my address with the present porur address but the bank official declined to my request asking me to produce my aadhar card with the present address. Today, when i wanted to withdraw an amount of rs. 25, 000/- (Rupees tenty five thousands only) through the withdrawal slip, i was told that the amount could not withdrawn since the account is maintained by the kolathur branch. Despite my submission of application and subsequent verbal confirmation by the porur branch staff, the callous reply given by the bank returning the pay slip and thereby not allowing me to withdraw the amount is a serious issue and i hereby request you to confirm whether my account has been transferred from kolathur branch to porur branch or not.
