Indian Health Organisation [IHO] — Suddenly discontinuing my policy 1 Review Su subratman on Apr 13, 2017 Mark as Resolved I have opted a NIC mediclam policy[protected] for my parents via Indian Health Organization 2 years ago, which is due to be renewed on 15th of Apr'17 (as attached). But, recently I have received an sms stating "NIC has discontinued the group policy and need to be migrated to an individual Mediclam policy. But NIC is now denying to renew the same policy with same terms and condition and asking for new policy, email from NIC attached. And IHO is not taking the responsibility. I want to continue the same policy as it is now 2 years old and is now eligible to cover the existing diseases of my parents. Please help. Was this information helpful? | |||||

Verified Support Apr 23, 2017 Indian Health Organisation [IHO] Customer Care's response Dear Sir, We wish to bring to your notice that National Insurance Company Limited (NIC) has decided to terminate the Memorandum o[censored]nderstanding (MOU) established between IHO and NIC. Pursuant to the termination of the said MOU, IHO members shall not be able to renew the add-on benefit of Group Health Insurance Policy of NIC, through IHO. For the benefits of our members (IHO members), and to give the continuity benefit with the new terms & conditions, if you wish to migrate your Group Health Insurance Policy to an Individual / Family Floater Health Insurance Policy, you may do so by contacting the concerned official of the insurer i.e. National Insurance Company Ltd. at: Name: Ms. Pooja Nimesh Email ID: Pooja.[protected]@nic.co.in Tel No.:[protected], 24673653 It is important to note that IHO is not an insurance company & that the insurance product is provided directly by National Insurance Company. The insurance was being offered by IHO only as an add-on benefit to its members.
