Train no: 12624. Going from Trivandrum to Katpadi Junction. No of passengers : 5. Coach A2. Seat no: 34.There is no pantry car. And there are no vendors for food during dinner time. No IRCTC employee came asking for dinner order. We got down in Ernakulam Town station searching for food because the train stopped very far away from the food stalls on the platform and it is impossible to walk from the compartment to the foodstall and get on to the train with in 10 min of halt time. And we had to run along the platform in search of food and by the time we got food from a vendor the train started moving and we could not get the change for our money because we ran to the compartment. Such a blunder by IRCTC for not providing any dinner in the train or not stopping the train for longer time in any station to fetch dinner or not stopping the train near any food stall. Buying a second class A/C ticket paying so much and had to travel without dinner. I request authorities concerned to take serious action on planning food arrangements in trains without pantry cars.
