Indian Railways — Gurgaon railway station--absence of escalator at station and cleanliness
I would like to bring to notice of railway authorities the need for an escalator at the station.I had the opportunity to traval by Ajmer shatabdiand return same day with my wife. This was my first visit from gurgaon .But on return in night I was shocked to find there is no escalator to cross platform which is at such a height that an old man or sick person cant catch train if alone. You will kindly agree that these days even small shopping centres have escalators for convenience of customers of all ages.At railway station the passenger carries some baggage also. Moreover Gurgaon is rated as one of the 10 emerging new cities of the world with so many corporate houses and new delux residential colonies coming up the general standard of people has gone up. Not only above the condition of booking office was horrible with staff sweating in poor light without cooling facilities. The condition of rest room was less said the better with stinking smell coming from within toilets and people lying on floors. I would request the minister to pay asurprise visit to see himself and realise in modern time thie poor condition at doorstep of Delhi. Forgetting all other things the absence of Escalator was most disturbing.. Was this information helpful?
