Please refer e-ticket pnr-[protected]. A wait listed e-ticket was for four persons. After chart preparation only two people could got confirmed rc berth. Hence only two people travelled on this ticket. Rest two people could not travelled with this ticket, as not having confirmed ticket for them. During train journey, ticket checking staff checks ticket repeated times and keeps record also.

It is understand that refund should be automatically processed, if ticket is not entitled for travelling and also not used for two people. Same has been checked during journey by ticket checking staff and record available with them. Therefore refund was being expected automatically.
On 14.11.2019, when contacted for refund status to [protected]
It has been replied, “as your time for filing the tdr for refund has exceeded, so we are unable to forward your case to railways”.

Following are for kind considerations of competent authority -

1. Is it justified, to refuse refund for the service which has not been provided to anybody? It is on record of railway authority that two people have not traveled on this ticket as they were not entitled with this ticket.
2. In case any formality was needed then it should be intimated same time with sms or it should be intimated by ticket checking staff to the other travelling person. It is also expected as a gesture of goodwill.
3. After all if a person knowingly or unknowingly fails, then what is way to get his money refunded?
4. It is requested to kindly refund my money after deduction of processing charge. If refund has been processed then please communicate status.
