Indigo Airlines — i was charged for extra baggage when my baggage was within the limit

My name is arti rathi, i was travelling to delhi from nagpur on 28 aug at 7.50 am. I had my companion named shrikant deshpande who was travelling with me in the same flight. I had a baggage of 13 kgs and my companion had a baggage of 9 kgs, but when he tried to check-in the person at the counter denied him and insisted that the baggage belonged to me and that i have to include it in my baggage, they did not let us in because of which i suffered a lot of inconvenience moreover they charged me rs 1600 extra for his baggage which they included in mine. It was a total step to collect money from the innocent. These airlines really loot people

This is certainly not the experience we want our passenger to have. However, we would like to clarify that clubbing of the baggage is not allowed due to security reason. Nevertheless, we are sharing your feedback with the concerned airport staff.

Updated by Arti rathi It was not clubbing of the baggage. It was his own baggage and I was carrying on my own. Moreover, even if it was my baggage clubbed with him and if he is saying it is his baggage how can your staff deny that it is not his baggage
