[Resolved]  IRB Infrastructure — irb infrastructure toll collected twice on mumbai-pune expressway

Today i.e. on 15th June 2019, @ 17:14, I crossed khalapur toll comming from Panvel and going to Pune. I was charged rs 138 at khalapur toll (MAHARASHTRA) by cash, attached is the receipt. I informed the person about the fastag on my vehicle but he said that I would have to pay by cash since fastag detector machine was not installed on that counter. @ 18:05 when I arrived at Talegaon Toll Plaza I showed my toll cash receipt to the man on counter. He waived at me to let me go. But after 30-35 mins I received message from Paytm @ 18:41 that rs 138 are charged and debited from my account for my Vehicle registration number MAKGM651CJ4306826. I was baffled as to why I was charged again by ETC even though I had already paid by cash and even showed the receipt to the man on the counter. I think it was deliberate charge by the counter person. I must be returned the extra charged money. Attached are the photos of cash receipt as well as text message from ETC account.

We are in receipt of your email dtd: 15.06.2019 relating to double payment o[censored]ser fees through Cash and Fastag at Khalapur Toll Plaza on Mumbai Pune Expressway, registered under ‘Indian Consumer Complaints Forum’ portal.

At the outset, we sincerely apologize for inconvenience caused to you. We hereby inform that the matter has been investigated by us and clarify as under:

1. We have verified our accounts and confirm that we have received an additional amount of Rs.138/- and the same can be refunded.

2. It may be noted that details of valid Fastag on a vehicle is automatically captured while crossing toll plaza and accordingly payment is deducted. We do not have any role in inclusion or removal of Fastag data. In limited cases, due to technical issues tag is not verified immediately and the person at toll booth asks for cash payment.
3. You are requested to contact your Fastag issuing bank to raise a chargeback request for refund of this amount. The same shall be credited to your bank account.
